Foreigners' Basic Medical Insurance (ZZPC)

Foreigners' Basic Medical Insurance covers the essential examinations required to determine diagnoses and medical procedure, essential treatment and hospitalization at healthcare establishments, necessary operations and subsequent care and urgent dental treatment, as well as payment of out-patient medicines prescribed by a doctor. This insurance is recommended for those residing in the Czech Republic for a short period of time.

Insurance may be taken out for any period from one day to 36 months and the insured person need not meet any entrance age condition. The territorial validity of the insurance covers the Czech Republic, Schengen area states and transit countries.

Clients may choose standard or superior standard insurance, insurance for sports competitions and insurance for dangerous sports.

An insurance benefits limit of up to 1,600,000 CZK may be selected for the sum of all insured events occurring within the duration of the insurance.
