General information

Those who are not party to Czech public medical insurance and who do not come from a European Union country have an obligation to take out commercial medical insurance. Our insurance for foreigners is practical and affordable and gives clients a broad range of choice of suitable conditions. The insurance meets all the conditions of the Act on the Residence of Foreigners on the Territory of the Czech Republic and it is naturally recognized by the Foreigners' Police. The client may choose from over 3,000 contracted healthcare establishments throughout the Czech Republic, which is clearly the broadest contractual network of healthcare providers in the Czech Republic. Our insurance provides clients with guaranteed cashless access to healthcare.

Foreigners' Comprehensive Medical Insurance (KZPC)

Foreigners' Comprehensive Medical Insurance provides healthcare to an extent comparable with that of Czech public medical insurance, covering preventative examinations and vaccinations, payments for medicines and healthcare aids and emergency stomatology, prenatal and postnatal treatment of mothers. It also includes insurance to pay daily contributions during hospitalization. This insurance is recommended for those residing in the Czech Republic for an extended period of time

Insurance may be taken out for a period of four months to five years. The territorial validity of the insurance covers the Czech Republic and transit countries, and since December 2007 it has also been possible to choose territorial validity for the states of the Schengen area.

In addition to standard insurance, clients may also choose professional sports insurance or supplementary insurance for postnatal care of newborn babies.

An insurance benefits limit of up to 2,000,000 CZK may be selected for the one insured event.
