General information

When travelling abroad a responsible person will take out insurance, even for trips to countries of the European Union, which also applies after the accession of the CR to Schengen. Health care, to which you are entitled by the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), may not always be sufficient and free of charge. Our health insurance provides complex protection during your stay abroad.

Our insurance coverage comprises a whole range of different types of insurance policies for tourist and business trips abroad and for short or long stays in a foreign county. There is also insurance for Sports competitions, Dangerous sports and Extreme Sports. The insurance coverage is very reasonably priced, offers clients the possibility of opting for the most suitable conditions, and offers all-round coverage against various risks when travelling abroad. We also offer many group reductions. The coverage includes the services of the renowned assistance service AXA ASSISTANCE, which are available on a 24/7 basis in Czech.

Advantageous travel insurance packages

The Optimal travel insurance package is a suitable option of covering all basic risks that can occur while travelling abroad. Besides Medical Expenses Insurance it also includes Accident insurance, Personal Property insurance and Third Party Indemnity Insurance. It can be taken out at prices beginning at 33 CZK/day per adult person.

We also offer a smaller package, MINI, which includes medical expenses insurance and Third Party Indemnity Insurance. This insurance policy can be taken out at prices beginning at 23 CZK/day per adult person.

Insurance of medical expenses

This covers essential and emergency treatment of sudden ailments, health disorders or injuries, and relates to the repatriation of an ill person to the CR and to the transfer of a person's remains from abroad. The insurance covers basic dental treatment. The basic insurance limit is CZK 3,000,000, and there exist various possibilities of increasing the limit.

Accident insurance

Accident insurance is taken out against the risk of death following an accident and against the risk of permanent consequences caused by an accident. Permanent conseqiences insurance can be taken out with the indemnity limit of 200, 000 - 400,000 CZK, in case of insurance ageinst the risk of death as a consequence of an accident the indemnity limit is 200,000 - 400,000 CZK.

  Personal Property insurance

Personal Property insurance covers damage to the personal effects of the beneficiary which they took on holiday with them and/or which they demonstrably acquired during their drip. Insurance is taken out in the event of damage or destruction of items by natural catastrophe, theft and mugging.  Personal Property insurance can be taken out with the indemnity limit of 10,000 - 30,000 CZK.

 Third Party Indemnity insurance

Third party Indemnity insurance covers damage caused to the health and property of a third party as well as financial damage. It also relates to the insured party's liability during recreational sports activities. The insurance limit is CZK 2,000,000 to 4,000,000 for damage to health, CZK 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 for damage to property, and CZK 500,000 to 1,000,000 for financial damage.

Trip Cancellation insurance

Trip cancellation insurance is taken out for the case of remuneration of the cancellation fee for the cancellation of a vacation. It covers events which make it impossible to travel for reason of serious illness, the injury or death of the insured party or his relatives. 

Trip cancellation insurance can only be taken out at the Pojišťovna VZP, a.s. and VZP ČR outlets.

Mountain Rescue Service Intervention insurance

The insurance covers the expenses incurred in connection with the rescue activities of the Mountain Rescue Service of the Slovak Republic. It concerns mainly the search for the insured person in mountainous area, the extricatrion and rescue operations associated with aerial or land transport of the insured person to the nearest medical facility. The indemnity of limit can be arranged at 100,000 to 400,000 CZK.     The beneficiary can choose from three types of coverage depending on the demands of the mountain region they will be in. The premium is from CZK 7 / person / day.

Travel insurance can be taken out online with a 10% discount or in the broad network of Pojišťovna VZP, a.s. and VZP ČR outlets with a 10% discount for VZP ČR policy holders.
