Why are you updating your branch network?
PVZP is modernizing its services – most insurance products can now be arranged online, anytime and from anywhere. We want to make it faster and simpler for you. At the same time, we want to keep a sufficient network of physical branches you are used to.
Where can we meet you in person?
You can find our central branches across the country. In the branch overview, select your region to see which one is closest to you.
Which products can be arranged at VZP branches and which at PVZP branches?
At VZP branches, you can arrange only insurance for foreigners and travel insurance. At PVZP branches, we will gladly help you with all PVZP products, including motor insurance, accident insurance, and personal property and liability insurance.
What is the difference between VZP and PVZP?
Despite the similar names, there is a clear difference – PVZP offers commercial insurance for individuals and enterprises, such as motor insurance, travel insurance, and many others, just like any other insurance company. VZP ČR provides public health insurance. The General Health Insurance Company (VZP) is, however, the sole shareholder of PVZP.
How do I arrange insurance online?
On www.pvzp.cz you choose your insurance, tailor it, and arrange it in a few clicks – without the need to go anywhere. The only type of insurance that cannot be arranged online is personal property and liability insurance. That is a very individual matter, highly specific to each client. We believe a home is not just a spreadsheet of numbers. Every apartment, house, or cottage has its own story and value that a standard online form can never capture exactly. Unlike automatic calculations, we take into account details algorithms cannot recognize – the quality of your furnishings, your individual needs, and what truly matters to you. Arranging it in person ensures you get insurance that is not just “some policy”, but one that truly reflects the reality of your home. Without the risk of underinsurance and with the certainty that in case of loss you will receive exactly what you need.
Can I pay by card or bank transfer?
At VZP branches you can pay by bank transfer, via QR code, via QR code at Sazka terminals, and via the GoPay payment gateway.
At PVZP branches you can pay in cash, by bank transfer, by payment card, via QR code, via QR code at Sazka terminals, and via the GoPay payment gateway.
Can I arrange insurance by phone?
Absolutely. Call us at (+420) 233 006 311 and we will handle it together over the phone.
What if I need a confirmation or a policy change?
We will send all the documents electronically. If you prefer a personal meeting, you can find us at our central branches.
How do I know an email from PVZP is genuine?
Emails from PVZP always end with @pvzp.cz. If you are unsure whether a message is really from us, do not click on any links or open attachments and contact us via the official contacts listed on www.pvzp.cz.
Will all services remain available?
Yes, all PVZP products and services remain unchanged – they are just moving more into the online space.
Are the service prices the same?
Yes. Insurance prices are not changing. Plus, you can use our online discounts, for example 10% off travel insurance.
