Insurance for oncological diseases and other serious diseases

‘Fénix’ non-life insurance insures you and your family for situations when a serious illness enters your life. In most cases, serious illnesses make it impossible for the affected person, and often for his family members as well (as a result of the necessary care and mental shock), to work normally, resulting in a significant decline in financial resources in the family budget. ‘Fénix’ will protect you from this drop in income with the amount for which you have insured yourself, paying up to CZK 2,500,000.

Benefits of serious illness insurance ‘Fénix’

  • Separate insurance without the need to take out life insurance
  • CZK 500,000, CZK 1,000,000 or CZK 2,500,000 sum insured
  • Payment of 100% of the sum insured immediately upon diagnosis of an oncological or serious illness
  • With adult insurance, you have the option of insuring a child free of charge for oncological disease with a sum insured of CZK 200,000 (only at branches)
  • Age from 18 to 64 (insurance period up to 65 years of age)
  • No medical examination or proof of income is required

Variants of ‘Fénix’ insurance

It can be taken out separately, with two available variants:

Classic – includes all malignant tumours

Premium – all malignant tumours, selected benign tumours and non-invasive tumours, incl. early stages

Supplementary insurance to ‘Fénix’ insurance

If have supplementary serious illness insurance in addition to ‘Fénix insurance’, you will receive the same sum insured as with ‘Fénix’ insurance. For example, if you have ‘Fénix’ insurance for CZK 500,000, you will receive CZK 500,000 even in the event of a heart attack and other cases in the list below.

  • Acute myocardial infarction
  • Alzheimer’s disease or dementia before the age of 60
  • Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
  • Cerebrovascular accident (CVA)
  • Encephalitis (inflammation of brain tissue)
  • Deafness
  • Surgery – coronary artery (bypass) surgery
  • Paralysis
  • Parkinson’s disease before the age of 60
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Blindness
  • Transplant of an important organ

It’s up to you what you use the money for – loan repayment, fees, housing, treatment or something else.

If you take out ‘Fénix’ insurance, you will have free insurance of a child for oncological disorders with a sum insured of CZK 200,000.

Insurance for a child can only be taken out in person at all branches of Pojišťovna VZP, a. s. or VZP ČR.
